Vacation rental is a term which is used frequently in the travel industry which means renting out a furnished house or apartment on a temporary basis to tourists as an alternative to a hotel or lodge. Vacation rental is very popular travel option in Europe (especially in the UK) and North America (especially in USA and Canada) and are becoming increasingly day by day popular across the world.
They are offered as vacation rentals, self-catering rentals, accommodations, or villa rentals mostly. In other words you can also say vacation rentals were becoming a threat to the hotel industry in all over world (especially in England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, France and Spain), where the government also promotes and certifies holiday rentals, even offering its own program of holiday/vacation rentals.
